When I was a child, I used to love to tell stories. I’d sometimes tell lies to make them sound more extravagant and adventurous.
At the ripe age of thirteen I wrote my first short story. It was about my grandmothers old neighbour. Who is a sweet man who at the time, was gardening. As I sat there, on my grandmothers desk that looked down on her garden as well as the garden next door, my little mind ticked around the endless possibilities to why he was gardening. Maybe it was his therapy, his way to escape the world, maybe he was burying a body… who knew! The possibilities were endless. And thats what I love about writing.
Writing is endless. The story is in the writers control. I wrote a ten thousand word short story in one day about that man in the garden… and it wasn’t half bad!
After that, I was hooked. I wrote everyday, poems, songs, shorts and I am currently writing my first book that I hope to publish.
I’m currently in my first year of a Journalism Degree at University based in London.
This blog is for the book lover, the foodie, the ‘wanderluster’ or just for a bored soul in the middle of the night.
You will find book reviews, snippets of my own personal writing and diary entries of my little adventures whenever I have the opportunity to leave London.
I do hope you enjoy reading my blog as much I as I enjoy writing it.
So go on… have a wonder.. 🙂
